Being or feeling imprisoned in a dream often means that we are trapped by circumstances, often those we have created through our own fear or ignorance. We feel that other people are creating circumstances around us which will not allow us to move forward. We will often need to negotiate our freedom.
Imprisonment can suggest that we are spiritually too introverted or self-involved. We need to ‘open ourselves up’ to new influences. We may need assistance in doing this – and have to look to an outside influence to release us.
